7mm mag vs black bear

I was wondering what you guys thought about 7mm mag against black bear. I have a Winchester model 70 7mm mag an also a Remington model 760 270 I just wanna know which one you guys would use

You have one of the best all round calibers for hunting anything in BC,put your mind at ease,just use premium ammo and your all set !

1 shot 1 kill 7mm puts em down

Both would take em down depends on what you are more comfortable with the 7mm has a little better power but either one would take a bear down. Remember shot placement too

I have shot 2 Grizz and 23 black bears over the years with a .270,130 Remington Core-Loks.Never had a problem.It ain`t so much what you shoot(within reason)it`s HOW you shoot.Don`t take dumb shots.
7 Mag will take anything in North America with ease.

I've shot a dozen+ black bears with 7mm Rem Mag, it works very well. Usually used 160gr Barnes X

When it comes to hunting, Accurate first shots are must faster than a quick reload. ;)

Heck Nick, lots of folks use a .243 on black bear...they're not that tough. A lot of people hear about how
grizzly bears can take a couple of bullets and keep charging and it's true, so they start thinking that black
bears must be pretty nasty as well. Now I wouldn't want to get between a sow and her cub in spring with
no gun in my hands, but with any decent centrefire rifle a black bear is no problem. To use an analogy
that's easy to understand, a black bear is like a Ford Explorer and a grizzly bear is like a tank. :-)

I have shot two BB right in the heart (3006) and both run off about 100 yards......at first I thought it was clean miss.....they are tough.....

I have shot a number of blackbears , and don't kid yourself they can be tough to kill at times.

I have taken 27 blacks and 2 grizz with a .270,130 grn.

I took a bear this spring with my 7mm RM using a 160 grain Partition handload. It was devastating!

I have shot two BB right in the heart (3006) and both run off about 100 yards......at first I thought it was clean miss.....they are tough.....
I have shot lots bears .......the big ones I aim for shoulder shots goes maybe 2-15 feet and I go in for finally kill shot. Small ones under 5feet I aim for boiler room goes maybe 10-30 feet. My Friend use is 30-30 Win. kill quite few bears with it.
I used my 270Win, 270 WSM and 30- 06 no problem.
