A few notes on this bow . It`s BW`s original fifties - sixties bow design which is still in demand due to it`s shootability . The riser of Zircote wood normaly displays little character but can have an attractive grey colour . In this case the colours range from a almost black in low light to a meandering rich and deep grain pattern in sunlight . I lucked in to a very nice piece .
The limb veneers are Myrtle Burl and were purchased from an "IdahoCurt" on Tradgang web site . Curt was great to deal with and forwarded pics of veneers as they were cut giving me a great choise . These veneers have burl , curl , swirl and some spault which run the whole length of the limb . They were shipped from Idaho to the Black Widow Bow gang in Missouri who suggested a high gloss (seven coats) finish which really highlights this bows character .
Pretty is pretty but primary aim of the bow is to launch an arrow where you look . This bow is a dream to shoot , then I admire the pretty . Lifes too short to carry a ugly bow LOL . Weither it ends up in a treestand or stays on the 3-d circuit time will tell .

One more point the X in PTFX denotes exotic woods of your choise in riser and limbs as well as the limbs having a Bamboo core which makes for a smooth and none stacking draw with very good arrow speeds .
Thanks for looking .
Cheers

Hey Nog , Thanks for the kind words . It matters not what we shoot but respect what matters to each of us .
