Currently there is a lead and zinc mine in exploration stage in our pristineAdams River Watershed. Come and learn about the impacts and effects thatthis mine will have on our water, salmon and children’s future.
Presentation by Ramsey Hart, Mining Watch Canada
Ramsey Hart is the Canada Program Coordinator at MiningWatch Canada.He focuses his work on Canadian, provincial and territorial mining policydevelopment, review of individual mining projects through environmentalassessments, and provides technical and logistical support to communitiesaffected by mineral exploration and mining projects. He also conductsresearch about domestic mining issues, in particular waste management,the impacts of mining on aquatic ecosystems and the impacts of mining onIndigenous rights. He has an MSc from Trent and a BES from Waterloo.
