I should have posted this earlier in the winter but it came to mind as I am currently re-reading this book.
It is "A HUNTER'S HEART - Honest Essays on Blood Sport" by David Peterson and is well worth the price.
It is the Sports Afield Best Sporting Book of 1996 but I see it for sale numerous places on google.
It is a collection of short essays and I won't give a review as they are available on line but I will say I sure enjoyed it and I just wish I could articulate my feelings on hunting as well as some of the contributing authors have done.
