Other than the "Smug" intro, and the pic of a sheep ewe being taken from a transport pen (wrong impression) it was a pretty fair article. Especially for Glob-Hole.

Looks good on the BC government in my opinion, very upbeat idea. Two thumbs up for B.C. officials involved.

A gal I went to highschool with put that up on her FB and said "disgusting!" so I told her the truth about funding conservation projects, and she was pretty pleased in the end. Every little bit helps...:)

FB is a melting pot for that type of uninformed sensationalism..........

it takes everything I have not to respond to countless friends saying similar comments about mining, forestry, exploration drilling ect......

Sounds like a new World record ram is walking around the Breaks.

It's too bad Alberta shipped off the good genetics and only kept the bad genes. ;)

Typical pynn-head article , thick with 'agenda'.
Poor choice of pic too , they have better. If they show a pic of a release during the translocation to Okanagan Mountain Park , then they should explain it.

Glad he gave Wilson space for comment , it should have just ended there.

I have no doubts that Montana will be the next to produce a World Record bighorn. I heard they had 3 rams over 200" shot last year alone....and its truly become the 'powerhouse' in terms of killing a giant ram! Some great money spent last night.

Always pisses me off; how much do antis contribute to wildlife conservation? Most of their donations to so-called environmental groups goes to fund high-priced consultants and media campaigns, with few exceptions. As long as opportunities are maintained for average joes too, I'm all for this.

I would suggest anyone with a minute of time, go check out vancouver sun's facebook page to see who larry pynn writes to and what they think of it.

It's a shame they try to put a negative spin on such a positive event for conservation. 1 sheep for $250000 plus Guide Outfitter 75% going directly to sheep conservation = win win
