Does anybody have/had both a 3-9x40 and 3.5-10x44, was there much noticable difference between the two. There sure is a big difference in price! Wondering if the extra cost is worth it?

thanks

If the 44mm obj won't work with a set of Talley LW LOWS, then that'd make my mind up right there....

i have both and would take the 3.5-10 over the 3-9 i like the 44mm it seems to gather a bit more light for those evening last minute hunts but both are good scopes for the money especial in the states which is where i have picked up all my scopes.

How did you bring across border? ...... watch out for Big Brother ATF.

sako75 drive them over after shipping them to a mail carrier. i have been stopped by us border service (police) just at the canadian line before entering canada and they didnt have a problem with it but they did ask if it was mil dot i believe. different u.s. agency's may be a different story and i have read that you need a export permit so it maybe a problem but i haven't had one yet and i dont see myself needing a new scope for a long time so dont think i will be picking anymore up for a while but it has worked for me and i would do it again if i needed one as the savings can be large.

3-9 is fine. I would spend more money on binocs where you spend waaaay more time glassing anyway.
