This guy has been hanging around the gas plant I work at. I've seen him several times but never had a camera, today I remembered to grab the video cam before I left home and was able to get a little bit of footage. I hope to get better quality video of him over the next couple days to get a better look at his forks.

Anyways I thought he was nice enough to share. Any guess on a score on this buck? Lacks mass and front forks aren't as deep as the tops.

I hope to get a tape on the antlers as he uses the same trail in and out of the river breaks, and I'm patiently waiting for him to drop, If nothing disturbs him I should have an awesome chance of picking them up, along with about 10 smaller bucks who have all been making there way to the same feed daily.

Cool buck for sure, good luck with finding his sheds! If he had some more mass he'd be really sweet! Could be a good one to watch out for next year for sure!

Nice looking young buck! Looks like the peace muleys are starting to rebound, a couple more years of reasonable winters and we should see some age and some hammers to boot!

Thanks for the vid.

I guessed him to be in the 170's lets hope I can pick up the set.

The day before he stood at less than a 100 yards at the grain until I drove off, of course I didn't have my camera. I've thought about throwing up a camera or two on the trails but I should be able to get a nice picture with just a regular camera.

As for chasing this buck next season, it could be a tough one as he spends I would guess 95% of his time in Alberta and during hunting season I only saw him at night, my plant is about a kilometer across the line. In November I did catch him in the headlights on the BC side on a call out to the plant at about 2am some girls must have led him there.

But I will start to put in for a Alberta muley LEH, although I think its 4-5 years priority so I probably won't be killing this buck haha.

I do believe this is the same buck, I got pictures of him once throught the spotter on my way to work, but he would not stand up. I would see 8 of his buddies almost every morning but only saw this guy a handful of times and once with a camera. You can see he has smallish fronts.

I look forward to seeing him grow this summer. Let's hope the rest of winter is good to him.

Good job on the video. That is a nice looking buck. Looks to be a 160er with some good potential.

I travel daily through what was traditionally the best muley winter range in the North Peace. I've seen one buck this winter that might equal that guy.
We have a long way to go before the population of quality bucks gets back to the levels we saw in the late eighties.

IIRC Many say 2004-2005 it was getting pretty darn good.... then a couple of shitty winters????

KB90, sound like he has alberta plates on him. LOL
Get your alberta friends to put a little pressure on him, you may get a crack at him next year, could be 180 plus buck then. I am sure those peace country bucks days are numbered both sides of the border when they hit that mark. Only so many places to hide....

Didntt help with them opening doe season and predator numbers rising like crazy either. be a long time before we see the numbers of years past.

:(

Not yet, 2 weeks after this video, something changed and the deer disappeared!?

I've been waiting for them to come back, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

I found a dead doe at the grain pile one morning and they haven't been back since. This weekend I'm going to hike the river breaks and see where they went, they couldn't have gone to far... I hope! Maybe on the other side of the river? I know there are a few other grain bags around so fingers crossed.

I did find this 150-155 set in a different area though.
