THANKS FOR THE TIP. The question I asked wasnt about season dates . The slough shows its open during hunting season on the fraser valley special area map it just seems a little close to the road/houses to me can anyone clarify this for me?

Regs say 100m from any dwelling so keep that in mind close to houses

Expect to be closely monitored....there has been a lot of negative friction with residents along the slough. Make sure of the legal boundaries so that you are not trespassing. There have been physical confrontations and bully tactics by care takers of large property owners against the mountain.

Even if you dont big game hunt a cheap range finder is a handy tool to have in your WF pack

I would stay far away from anything dewndeny. Not worth it IMO. There are very few ducks and The residents are way to insane and yes the slough is way to close to houses ( you can get far enough away but people will still flip out) again NOT worth it.
