the story is i got a second trail cam for christmas so me my dad and my gsp went for a hike to find some fresh sign and a new spot for the cam.

After a nice strole through some tall timber the dog pointed out a ripped up piece of earth that looked like a scuffle with some fur on the ground. We figured something caught a rabbit so we keep walking and 40 feet later and the dog is pointing at a dead bobcat quit small probably this years kit its belly was a little split and a half the fur had been pulled off its side but not through to the meat
.so that was my new spot for the cam.it was right on a nice bench wit lots of deer tracks so i also put down a pile of cob than left to see what shows.

so first week i check the cam,the cob is eaten and the rear end of the bob cat is chewed off but no pics my angle was off and no super secure so new set up new cob and be back iin a week.

Didnt get back for two weeks again the cob is eaten and the bob cat has a little more chewed off it but has only moved about a foot

and this is the only pic

From the rounded ass end and what little else I can see, with nothing to compare size with, I'd have to say it may be a bear. They often come out of hibernation on the coastal areas when the weather warms up a bit, then go back to their dens. Just my 2 bit worth.

Bobcat. The tail is "ringed", and the smaller tufts on the ears also fit better than a lynx.
Appears to be in fine shape, kinda wonder why he'd be so interested in the granola... LOL!

A BEAR lol lol

Never seen a cat that's that "rolly polly" fat. I do question the ears though and wonder if it's just from the angle of the photo. Like I said though, it's a hard call with nothing to clearly compare the size to. There's no "bob tail" visible, and there is quite a roll of what appears to be fat on the shoulder.

Could be a raccoon. The body looks to round and fat for a bob cat IMO
