Sorry about your luck.
I bought a pair of Zeiss 8x30 Conquests NIB on ebay that were in a camera store that went out of business a couple years back. Got them for just over 50% of regular price anywhere else.
I was happy!!!!

10x42 are the probably more the ones you would want for hunting, check that the warranty is still valid once you buy used optics from outside of Canada.
