Mark, I think it is true ,his brother started a thread on another hunting site telling me to look at monster mulies.

SteadyGirl
12-11-2006, 11:18 AM
I've seen it and the deer ain't all that special. Maybe if dana had caught up to him a million hunting seasons ago:lol:

Just kidding just kidding its cool how he tracked the deer over the years8-)

Dono where the heck its posted then - I looked at www.monstermuleys.com (http://www.monstermuleys.com) and www.muleycrazy.com (http://www.muleycrazy.com) and no go on either of them. Must be some other site.

That buck is a hawg Just goes to show what holding your tag can provide....A great last day buck! I got to watch him live for over 2 hours yesterday. It was a tough hunt and a tough stalk but Dana got it done with 2 hours to spare! It was definetely one of the most exciting and memorable hunts i have ever seen.

In all honesty Lora, you aint all that special either ;). That buck is a hawg, much bigger than anything you'll ever get! Just goes to show what holding your tag can provide....A great last day buck!

If I were you.. or a few others on here, I would complain to a mod and have your personal comment toward me removed. Instead I'll just concider the source. I always see the dinks grouped up so your in good company with dana and that buck:lol:

12-11-2006, 11:28 AM
Worked - thanks.

Read all the forums, and Congrats sto Dana if he reads here still, chasing a buck for 6 years gives it to him well deserved. I would love to know his score now.
Too bad about hiim gettin so old, atleast you know he passed his genes in the area thoroughly! If you do get an age bracket, post er up.
Again congrats on a well deserved buck.

Hey Matt I just remembered when we went hunting, you were so drenched in calogne and what looked like manakeup I couldn't stifle the laugh when I met you:lol: Cos I know that clean shave and calonge wasn't for me, naw! it was for those buckies

BIGHUNTERFISH
12-11-2006, 11:35 AM
In all fairness to Mark, Dana has bull shitted about wounding this buck before,so if people are wondering if the new story is true, well thats just normal.I congratulate Dana on a nice buck.

BCrams
12-11-2006, 11:39 AM
bighunter - that wounding story is true and it wasn't a bs story. Go read the original post / story. The post went sour .... so of course - why not go make fools of yourselves and tell you otherwise.

MattB
12-11-2006, 11:39 AM
Yea, i wear cologne and makeup hunting....thats my secret to bagging hawgs!

The original story was true, the post went sour after that and thats when the rest came out. That thread needed to die.

Hey rambo, only reason I said that is cuz dana kinda discredited himself in some of those other threads that went sour!
My congrads to him on an accomplishment of a lifetime! Im sure it was the most exciting day of his hunting life!

12-11-2006, 11:55 AM
I see the trash continues on this site. The pics and story won't be posted here by me. You wanna see the buck look on MM and there will be a big spread with lots of pics and the entire story in Muley Crazy Magazine. Probably the May Canada/Mexico issue.

12-11-2006, 11:56 AM
No, I think one of the best days of his life ,is when he shot the small whitetail buck with his father and son.:)

dana
12-11-2006, 11:59 AM
BighunterFish,
The entire season was the best season of my life. Started with the Opening Day whitetail with my son and ended with a Last Day Buck that I have been after for 6 years. To think next year will even be better as my son will have his own tags.

Hey Steve, great work, There aren't many, if any, guys here that would dedicate 6 years on the same buck. Good on you, Congrats man. I dedicated 3 years once hoping to run into a particular buck, only to find out a buddy shot it late in the first season, I spotted it one day before opening.

Thanks for the journey! I sure hope he's going on your wall even though he most likely won't outscore your current non-typ. He NEEDS to be there. Do up those sheds of his on a placque next to him and you've got something special!

Way to go! Now put your head in the fridge, put some weight back on and get your butt out there onto winter range and find the next buck to take you on a journey!

Congrats Dana , thats a well deserved buck, and very impressive.Don't let some of these people spoil the moment.

dana
12-11-2006, 05:58 PM
There ain't nothing someone on the ol' www can say that will spoil this moment for me. Out of all the bucks I've ever killed, this one is the most special to me because of the amount of time and energy put into him.

3kills,
Haven't seen WideBugger since the summer of 2004. Figure he probably was catscat a while a go. Still lookin' for his sheds though. Figure one day I'll find them in some Rhodo jungle chewed to $hit but still recognizable as his.

SSS,
Man I am going to take a much deserved break for several weeks. I will be pounding back the Christmas Baking and trying to get back what I've lost. I already have several bucks lined up to focus on the next few years. The amount of bucks seen and passed on this year was by far the most I've encountered in one season. Never would have thought that we could have a year better than last year, but even with the trials and tribulations of this year, I think we all agreed this season Kicked Ass on last year.

Nice job Dana, you definately put your time in for that buck. When you first wounded this deer where did it turn out you hit him?

Just curious did you guys have a deal worked out that none of the other guys in your party would shoot MNT?Or did it just work out that you were the one who had the opportunity?I'm not a trophy hunter but I can certainly understand the work and dedication you guys put in.Care to give us a hint of your next target?
