Seaducking this year has been plagued with big Se winds, and Schedules that just couldnt line up. With some mainlanders chomping at the bit and heading over next week as the season comes to a close, Kiel and I finally got out today to see what we could come up with. They were calling for 15Se but it never made it. After finding a wack load of birds We tossed out 3 longlines and anchored the baby blue Double eagle. we were pretty protected and the birds werent moving much but we killed a few in the couple hours we spent out there. Also found a killer Barrows spot on the ay back in. Stay tuned for a few pics of dead Ge's in the next week.

We shot 3 beauty Old squaws but lost one that kept diving and swimming 100 yards at a time. we chased him around for 30 mins before finally loosing him but still managed 2 for the wall, and kiel smacked a nice double sprig.

It's amazing what can be accomplished with a small camnet and a bigger baby blue boat

That's a lot more comfy than a layout boat bobbing around on the Detroit river. Nice wall hanging ducks.

Nice birds Lorne, can't wait to see the pics of the follow up hunts..... It's a good thing you have a big boat to carry the cases of shells you will need to keep up with those main land boys, I hear they can shoot....... Good luck guys...

Funny you should mention that, this trip was the first time we only had a couple swimmers. The one Squaw that we lost and one scoter, and that scoter popped up right next to the boat and got smashed!!!!!! lol. But the rest of the birds took it pretty hard, and weren't going anywhere which is relatively rare with sea ducks. Seems them *******s are always trying to swimming away, even after you fold them up hard.
