Over the past 2 weeks, we've managed to pull some solid Rainbows out of Okanagan and Kootenay. Here's a few of the best.

Thought about keeping the 20lber but decided to let him go

Nice bou's boys!. This is the time of year to fish the big lakes....that 20lb looks great, and good on you for releasing it.
I know a fellow who has the record for bull trout @ 29.5lb on 10lb test, and 2nd largest rainbow @ 31 3/4lb. The record is 35lb. from Kootenay lake.

Great fish. I have never caught anything close to that. But then again I never fish the big lake. I don't want to be out there in my 10' aluminum.

Thanks guys. Been a fun few days. Heading out on Okanagan again tomorrow. Most of the fish have been caught on top.

I'm curious what you are using. I'd like to get out there too.....went last year in jan but the wind whipped up 6 foot swells and we had to turn around....

The Shuswap is a lot of fun. Only ever get out there in the summer though.

Great Pic's there Nick nice to see you let that 20 lber go hope you did the same with that booted up OK Lake Bow as we all know how good they taste out of the largest septic tank lake in BC .
Happy New Year

Thanks. Kootenay trumps Okanagan any day of the week. Those are Gerrard Rainbows that we're catching out of Kootenay. Okanagan is pretty hit or miss. That 9 was the only one we caught that day but I lost one a few minutes before that we all thought was around that size.
