I was there last week for two days . Saw a bunch of deer , mostly does and fawns , one spike and a big 2x2 with brows .

Went again yesterday . Saw about 10 deer . One giant 3x3 with brow tines , saw him last year and thought he was big then .
I think he is at his peak right now .

Interestingly last week the day after seeing the 2x2 I was hunting the same spot when 2 hunters snuck up from the bottom . One says
" I just came to get the big buck I shot at dark last evening , I was in the same area the night before also so I did not know if he was
BSing or not . So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and cleared out .

So.... I was again hunting the same spot yesterday and thought I saw a rack sticking up so I went towards it and there was the
big 2x2 . Ass all chewed up from coons and dogs . What a shame . I took a couple pics and wished I had a saw with me .

May head back this morning and look for that monster I saw .

Yeah; should I even wear camo if I'm road hunting on a bright red Tim Hortons mountain bike? Dress up like a donut maybe?

theres lots of good hunting on both the east and west side of the island down low, you will be able to get into some higher elevations on the east side and west as well , its just the road down the middle of the island that takes you to anderson bay is got to much snow on it. lots of deer around the alder bottoms

cheers

Been hitting it hard for the past three days . Weather has not been the best for getting close . Heading over this morning for the last day . Have been seeing a few every day . Have yet to get a "shooter" within range . Best times have been right before dark .

Ya, it was tough getting into bow range and it was definitely much better before dark. Most mornings i barely saw any deer.
They sure spooked quite easily!
