Anyone been into eskers yet this year. Hoping to get out this weekend. We did Camp a couple tames last year and had lots of fun. The fish were not big but we caught a few.
Last year we fished on the East side of the island at Camp.

Size is up in camp from the last few seasons. Biggest KO are 15" and I even got a couple really nice 16" rainbows. Flasher/forage minnow/mealworm at 12-16' over 30-ish. Had to work for the kokanee limit but I got there (let everything under 13" go)

are you doing a flasher and then a leader then the minnow?? I have never fished Kokanee.

Yep. 6" Glow/green coyote spoon caught the bigger ones.I didn't have corn at the time but I cooked up a recipe after that worked pretty good on 10mile. Soak a half cup of corn in 2 tsp red food colouring and 2 tablespoons worchestershire sauce and top the mix with just enough water to be able to mix it around. 24hr in the fridge, drain and pack in a little tupperware container. Keep it cool or it goes to hell. 10mile was slow when I fished it but the fish are bigger. We got one at 16.5" and the rest around 14" but I heard on good days you can limit with 16'ers.

Killem all. Chronically overstocked in there. You can take 5 kokanee and 6 rainbows/brookies combined, only 5 can be rainbows tho. So for a full limit you can take 5 ko, 5 rbt and 1 brookie.

Close to 2 km one way depending where you fish on the lake. Near the trailhead always sucks. In the deep water off the islands is the best. Medium sized hills. Trail is usually well packed.

Its an easy walk. a bit of up and down. Very well used trail. I dragged a sled into Kathy and have done the same into Camp. It would almost be easier going with a backpack.

took my 5 and 9 year old daughters into camp a couple weeks ago and had awesome luck. Trail was awesome, we were the only ones in there. Caught nice size rainbows, brookies and small kokanee.
