Thinking of glueing it in a jaw open configuration for display. Thoughts?

No. go natural so you can reposition as your mood inspires you...

Looks like it turned out really nice for ya!!

As for glueing it, I'd probably just prop it open or closed how you want it.

As said above I would not glue it open, but I would spot glue any of the small teeth, they will loosen up.

All teeth got glued in today. I took them out to peroxide the jaw and skull.

Came out really white......I was quite happy.

Maybe I will cut a bone prop to keep it open. Have a couple of deer legs the dogs have been nibbling on I can use.

maybe use something like a clear silicon so you could get it back apart if you don't like it.

Very cool. About 3-4 years old maybe? Teeth look sharp, but the front uppers look like they have some wear.
Don't glue anything, get a clear plastic prop and you can always change it at will.

I mounted mine on a dowel so it allows the lower jaw to hang. See my avatar.

What % of peroxide did you use? And for how long? I have my mule deer done up to the whitening stage. I am beside myself on what to use to whiten it.

I just used the 3% peroxide off the shelf at Superstore. Its cheaper at Walmart but they were out.

It only soaked for 4-5 hrs.

I would love to see a bigger pic of the dowel mount. That looks like a nice way to display it.

I have one but have not tried pulling the teeth out. Is this hard to do and is it necessary to pull them out to peroxide the skull?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that way. Mine had all her own teeth.

Once it is boiled the teeth almost fall out.

I took all the teeth out while cleaning and brushed off the crud that was around the roots. I was not sure if it would rot or not. Once they were out it was easy to remove them again for peroxiding and then glued in after drying.

I did lay them out on a cookie sheet all in order so it was easy to know which tooth was which. I did not need to have a puzzle on my hands.
