Well, I never got around to posting any of our maaany hunts so far from this year but here is yesterdays!
DECEMBER - Finally once the month kicked into gear, the rains overflowed the creek and flooded sections of the field.. Making for some great duck shoots so far!

Yesterday was no exception of this month's offerings. We had mallards and widgeons commiting perfectly into the pocket for a great shoot. At first, my dad and I couldnt hit the side of the barn... not sure why, but we were just "off". Eventually we started to connect with the birds and by the end of the morning we had our 16. 12 lards and 4 widgeon. Even break between hens and drakes.
I even managed a random goose! I was walking along back to the blind.. "laadeedaah..." Then I turn around and passing by me is a silent flock of geese!? I quickly spun around and popped the second last one in the flock as he was the closest. SO there was a cheek to boot

They were still buzzin around after we finished

And a shot of the bag... luckily with a big family, the freezer never seems to be full, gives us more reason to get back out ASAP!
