Here is a great ram

Have a guess.

Winner (closest to the 1/8) gets whatever kind of meat they want from my freezer. (if they pick it up)

I've read a couple 13 yrs. old  ... not being good @ annuli (be nice for one of our sheep experts to mark them in) but I get 10 yrs. old, possibly 11 on the L. Score  ... guessing on the circum's is hard, unless your a sheep fondler. 187 1/8

Ok ram. Have a few like that in the basement.

10 year old ram. Carries its weight well but we dont know if the bases are 16 1/2 or 14 inches at the bases. I will go with 188 2/8.

Very good example of just how difficult it can be to age a bighorn (and by bighorn I mean Rocky, Cali and Desert).

Seems to me that the orig poster didn't really specify species. Any chance this could be a ram that didn't come from Canada???

Tight curl, lack of really good perspective and lack of any story or clues leads me to believe 183"1/8 and perhaps 11 YO. Lots of tight curl rams score some decent inches, just depends on the mass....

Good looking chunk of horn regardless of score or age

Ferenc

This is a high scoring .mature ram...look how the horn drops below the jaw at the lowest point/place...the length of this horn alone must be well over 40 inches...just saying.... still staying with my score guess....time to start teasing us with some history on the ram!!!!!! Record book ram perhaps!!!

The ram scores 179.

Boxhitch was the closest, however he made 2 guesses, so they are both thrown out.

mwj, and 40incher were both equally 3 inches off. So they are declared the winners. Come get your meat, available steaks are cougar, caribou, elk, or mule deer. PM before you come.
