Annual Christmas Shopping Trip Pics

My wife and I did our annual trip into the Loops to do our Christmas shopping this weekend. It's a pretty good deal. I drop her off at the mall and then I hit the hills to look sheep. I saw 35 rams and countless ewes and lambs. Here are some pics I was able to capture before the batteries in my camera died.

I'm shooting a point and shoot camera, an Olympus SP-590UZ with 26x optical zoom. I have a 1.7x tele conversion lens for the camera as well.

Sheep aren't hard to stalk this time of year, let's not give Dana toooo much credit. I was looking at the focal point and texture in the centre of the image. The backdrop is effective as well. good framing.

Maybe the snow background or the lighting that day but the horns look much darker on those rams than pics you have taken from years past.......thanks for shopping.

These sheep aren't hard to stalk at any time of year. They are quite used to people. Seems that everytime I'm on the hill there are hikers, joggers, mountain bikers, dog walkers ect all wondering about where the sheep are. I do laugh at how many times I've seen fresh lion tracks in there. If the others that use that area only knew.

With these guys the backdrop is very challenging at times. Sometimes hard to keep the city out of the pics. ;)
