What mounted animals do you have in your trophy room?

Well I reorganized my trophy room today and I have to admit it looks pretty good,I have a really nice whitetail collection with a couple of boone and crockett racks from my late grandfather and some of my muledeer from the Koots,a nice live size red fox grabbing a pheasant a big brown bear,and some blacktail racks.I am waiting for my blackbear and muledeer from the taxidermist.I have some room for some sheep and I would move some things around for a big Grizz.So whats in your room and whats missing? :lol:

I only have a stone and an elk to this point, couple of leather wrapped moose and mule deer, I have this years stone and caribou coming in a year or so but they will be in a display together of a european type , not quite sure just told my taxidermist to do something different with them, I am not a trophy hunter, my elk was my first one, certainly not big and not my biggest since, however every animal I take is a "trophy" to me:lol:

Don't have a trophy room, but...

One 5x5 whitetail full head in my basement

One full size porcupine , 1 great horned owl, 1 saw-whet owl, 1 grizzly hide, 1 tanned cow elk hide (will be used as a throw rug/blanket once my cats are gone) in my reloading room

One bagder rug soon to be hanging out in the living room (once I finish the t/g panelling)

Reloading room also has about 10 sets of antler plaque type things, then we are now of to the garage.....

Probably 15 to 20 sets of antlers (just cleaned up and spiked to the main beams/headers) and 4 sets of elk antlers, plus several boxes of sheds from moose,deer,elk, caribou, etc, etc and my lucky porcupine skull, on his little perch above my work bench....

Most of my "trophy room" is pictures on my computer and also burned onto a cd in case my computer has a mental meltdown....

Hope to add a spring bear rug next year and if I'm fortunate enough to draw a LEH and score a grizz next year the combined hunt could add another rug as well as a goat.

I've onle got 2 shoulder mounted animals right now. One black bear. one whitetail. I've got a european mount mulie, and 5 columbian blacktail racks, plus two other black bears. I'd get the rest of them done into mounts, but having a baby in the beginning of the year has taken my money, and directed it towards something quite more important. Plus, I'd need a waaay bigger room to hang all the mounts!!! I've blown up pictures (21 x 17) of each animal instead, with engraved plaques in the frames.

1 muley head mount and 1 black bear rug. Have a wolf and a cougar at the taxidermist right now. Should be done pretty soon. I have a ton of muley Europeans and several other critter skulls. Also have a huge shed pile in the one corner of my living room of just my big sheds.

One really needs a dedicated, high ceiling trophy room. Large mounts forced into stairwells just look stupid.

He's a 5x6........without the brows for the Yanks:lol:

Without digging up the sheet I remember he went 188 and change Gross.
Ended up in the neighborhood of 183 and change NT of course.

It's his Matching inlines that make Him Special...my Bud calls him the "Banana Buck !"
I call him My "Hail Mary Buck !" but that's another story....:oops:

Hahah, that reminds me of the Jeff Foxworthy joke with the two guys talking about hunting, and having a room full of dead stuffed animals " Well, that's a white-tail deer, a mallard duck, and a siamese cat...had to run off the road to hit that one, they're quiiiiicccckkk!" Damnit I love that man! As for my house, dad's got a bighorn sheep, a mulie buck, grizzly rug, and a great horned owl, and I have my first moose. We're working on the elk rack of dad's getting mounted, and there's a whole schwack of antlers from mulies and moose out in the barn, together with various skulls and what not, my brother's a bit of a pack rat.

I will work on getting some pics together, i have to downsize them i guess to put them on the site. i am adding all my deer to my collection that i got this year. ya it was a great year for me. So far the only mount I have is the Mule Deer I got in '04, other that a few Mule deer, Whitetail, and a Caribou scull cab mounts, out in the shop. I'm also trying my first european mount on a fourpoint from this year. I prommised the wife that I wouldn't mount anything that would make at least the BC book. That will also give me me more time to get out to find that next big one.

Over the years I have always wanted to get a bobcat wolf linx or a black bear. But I've just stuck with deer. I have one black tail, two mule deer, and 5 whitetail head mounts. I'm lucky my wife allows me to have a 'horn room' and so called trophy room. Good huntin'

In my room ( well the whole house is a room), a 50 inch moose, a couple of elk, a couple of mulies ( one that scores 218), a few whiteys ( one that scores 195) a griz, a black bear or two, wolverine, and a cougar and a bunch of wolf hides.

I have my BC Ungulates represented in my stairway. Bears on the high ceilings of the living room, wolves and coyotes of the backs of the couch. Big boys go either side of the fireplace. Trouble with that, there are only two big boys...

If I recall correctly, he was 6' 7" nose to tail on the carcass....never did do the squared measurement. He weighed 450-500#'s. skull was a whisker shy of 20"

Sold most of mine. My home really didn't have anywhere a huge semi sneak bull elk would fit without the nose being at waste level. Mounts kind of clashed with everything else. Bear rugs had been just rolled up in closets the last decade. Surprised how fast they got scooped up. It will be interesting to see if they get re-scored under someone else's name.

Couple of birds is all I have left.
