I have a son who lives in Kitsilano. He would like to get into archery, but cannot seem to find a place to practice near to where he lives. Can anyone offer suggestions? When he asked the City of Vancouver about practicing outdoors, they told him there were no bylaws against it, but that he could expect to be apprehended by the police if he tried it. They also told him that crossbows were classified as restricted firearms. Obviously the spokesperson knows very little about firearms laws.
