The story was published in the Winnipeg Free Press a week ago where the picture published with the fellow standing and holding up the wolf has been verified as authentic. ....kind of makes you think twice about what's hunting you while you're hunting? This wolf was trapped outside of Birds Hill Park, 15 minutes from Winnipeg
This picture shows the size of the wolf a fellow trapped near the corner of 206 & Garvin Road.
It was one of a pack of seven.
Traps have been set up around the park and at least three have been captured so far.
The Conservation officers plan to catch them all and release them up north as an intact pack for survival purposes

I've seen large, rangy wolves similar in size and colour while backpacking up on Mt. Fehr above and west of Tunkwa Lake during the late sixties and early seventies, Could have seen the same one on different occasions (it towered over it's other pack members)

hmmm believe the story said 70kg ..

flying out from Williams Lake in a chopper several years ago before the current wolf explosion in numbers..we were not that far West of town when we started over a small frozen lake with 6 or 7 wolves..at first I thought it was a mom and pups..however it was then instantly obvious it was one HUGE wolf far larger than all the other adults..he? was bedded on the lake 15 yards or so away from the others..massive...they do get big..its all the good food..

cheers

No way, that's got to be a photo shopper dropper, no wolf could possibly be that huge, omg.
Tell me I'm right on the photo shop.

Why did two people take a post I made on the Wolf thread, and make new threads out of it?
Go figure.
