So my dad phones me up yesterday and tells me about a buck that was shot very close to where the Hanson buck was taken. He is thinking same bloodline as it looks identical to the Hanson monster, only "the Hanson rack will fit inside this one" (no sh*t) he said. I guess there is some kind of testing being done to see if it has been given enhancements like those genetically enhanced freak bucks they grow on those farms. Anyway he seen the pic on a phone and doesn't have it himself so he couldn't send it to me.

Is there any truth to this? does anyone have pics? would love to see this beast.

Thats the Broder buck. Not a typ. (obviously). The family has had a huge battle over these record antlers.

Alberta family's feud over famous deer antlers ends quietly

Antlers took top prize in record books

There's pictures floating around on Alberta Outdoors forum. I'll see if I can grab it.

I'm only about an hour away from where the Hanson buck was shot and haven't heard anything yet.
The genetics are definitely here, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

theres another pic of the deer with a striped skeleton so it might be a found buck. it also doesnt look as big in the other pic but still a hawg whitey. i'm curious to hear numbers on this one.

I read that the guy shot it and couldn't find it. Located it a day or two later after the yotes had stripped it bare.

What are you guys so excited about? According to some on this site, that's just a rat deer!

Awesome buck. Too bad it appears to be either found dead or found late after the coyotes got it.

If it was shot, lost, stripped by coyotes and then found again... Does the shooter still get to hold any record attached to the rack? Just curious. That is one bitchin' whitetail rack. Too bad he can't do the full mount.

I also heard something about a 330 typical taken from near Rimby Alta lately.
