View Full Version : A fast limit at the Pitt Marsh

Well another great outing recently. I just thought I would share it as it was my first time putting the hurt on a new type of duck. Also we found some more great uses for ducks. Here goes. I believe what it is, is a ring neck duck.

Now another exciting part, is that we have been taking duck carcasses to a friends cabin. Here are the results of what has been making off with the duck bodies.

Nice haul Dave. Don't get blood on the vette. You might get in trouble with the miss's. can I have those duck remains?

BACON WRAPPED JALAPENO AND CREAM CHEESE STUFFED DUCK BITES.

I have only ever enjoyed duck sausage or peperoni. This year I tried deep frying them whole, which is great. I also tried this, which is incredible. Basically marinade your duck cubes (I used salad dressing), cut a small slit into the cube, then insert a cube of cream cheese and some finely chopped jalapeno. If some is coming out its okay. Then wrap in partially cooked bacon, so you don't over cook the duck. Then broil it in the oven till crisp! Wicked good....

Very nice blackjacks sir! gotta love the divers in the mix. The diveristy of pitt marsh is unreal. It really is a special place.

No, I think that Big Boar (among others, like pnbrock) are very vocal on HBC about promoting places OTHER than where they actually hunt! ;)

Thats possible, although I'd bet good money that he and his friends were not anywhere neat Pitt Marsh when they shot those ducks in the picture! ;)

Did you take that LSx hunting!? Hahaha, nice birds fo sho. Congrats. Not to sure what ring necks taste like?? I get the chance to shoot them every January at our place, but have always passed them up for the puddlers.

BB, I think you posted that picture on the car a few years ago. Funny how you have this sudden interest is sharing "one of your favorite places to hunt" after I sent you a pm about stirring things up.

Ha Ha, Blainer, bring your blindfold, It's a long ways in to our blind, and we will be checking your pockets for G.P.S locator. "make sure your not followed to the meeting spot". :-)

And Dave has had that car for less than a year Dano, FOR SURE, He lets me drive it when he's outta town, which is quite a bit. So I know it's been less than a year for that car, and I've had to put on 2 sets of tires in less than a year on that car...

Regardless of how long he's had that yellow car, they still didn't get those ducks in Pitt Marsh! :)

You Pitt Marsh promoters are like the "Every big buck posted on HBC comes from Clearwater" guys. ;)

Biggest Greenheads come out of Ladner's private fields...right beside Richmond where you can't hunt....Clearwater bucks don't hold a candle to Ladner ducks mmmmmmmm kkkkkk ;)

Nice ducks. I love duck and it would extend my hunting season. I'd love to start waterfowling but don't have a dog and am not the strongest swimmer myself so don't really want to be doggie-paddling after my kills.
BTW: what is that shadowy figure on the trail-cam? I couldn't quite make it out.

A couple of bobcats.. It apppears to be a mom and kitten..

Actually it was just over a year or so ago, but the car isn't the issue.
Credibility, have you read the limit post by nano?
