headed out to sask with my buddy i played football with from saskatoon stared the first morning seen lots of deer 30 plus whitetail good start for the first day, headed back to cabin for some lunch. After lunch went on a hike seen nothing but some mule deer, man they grow big out there lol. At about 4 we were glassing some whitetail just infront of the cabin when we spotted 3 whitetail about a mile and a half out could tell one was a buck so off we went, there was 3 of us we had our plan set up.After about 15 mins of sitting in one spot i decided to move down got about 15 steps and seen 5 muley does and one 4 point muley chasin em around watched them for about 5 mins and spoted a whitie doe to my right and knew a buck wasnt far away and sure enough out he walks 150 infornt of me glassed him for bout 2 mins by this time hed spotted me so i decided to take him went about 40 yards and dropped lunged him! Then 15 mins later about 200 yards to my south i spotted my buddy walked down one of the fingers and out pops this knarly buck as i glass him i yell to him my buddy comes out and pops him, tagged him not the best but i could see him limping so i followed him with binos till i lost sight, so my buddy and his dads hunting partner tracked for about a mile and found him an hour and a half later. both tagged out the 1st day kinda sucked but happy with our bucks, also should add after i tagged out i had a 175+ whitetail stop at 200 broadside and look at me... figures oh well get him next year:mrgreen:

Close more around Asquith...

Was just going to say Asquith. Recognized the spot, hunted it more than a few times back in the day. Some GREAT Bucks wander there as your Buddy's well indicates. GNARLY that one, I wouldn't hesitate whatsoever!

Congrats on the Double & Thanks for sharing... :)

Cheers,
Nog
