So here is the story.

It all starts on Thursday night when I made my first shotgun purchase. My old o/u needed to be retired from water fowling because I could not fire steel down the barrels. So I got a good deal on a 870 super mag. So Friday night I was so stoked to use my new gun that me and my bro head out Saterday morning for a fast 1 hr hunt.We got 2 birds. But we spent the most time scouting spots for our blind.

Now it's Sunday morning out the door by 6:15 and ready to go by shooting light. I waited to start shooting till 7:45 because thee are a few house around and they are great people so I let them sleep in. The day went on with all singles and I had 5 down in 1 hr. then the weather got nice and it took some time to get all 8 but I was done by 10:30. In the end this day was made possible because of my brothers calling. He was not able to get his core in time so he picked up the call and has been great.

Lastly thanks to all the members that have help me to get to this point!

Nice day of shooting. Congrats.

Hmm didn't see where he mentioned the location until LP1 provided it. We got some psychics on here I guess.

I was just Jokeing about Pitt marsh. The birds were all shot in a flooded corn field.

Congratulations on a first limit,I'm sure there will many more. Anyone who would stick it out in that rain yesterday to get their limit is definitely hooked for life. I was at Pitt Marsh yesterday and the water is so high right now there are very few ducks using it, nobody was getting much if any shooting. Didn't think you got your limit there.

Just more of the guys trying to stir up the "Pit Marsh is the mecca of duck hunting" rumors. As usual, it's just more BS. :)

Congrats, Nano! :)

Congrats on getting your limit. Wait till it get colder the ducks will be hunger and be flying more often to feeding grounds = faster limit.

Yes, with all the recent rains ... all the fields, from the foreshore to the Wack will be teeming with birds. Bring on a cold snap and the marshes will light up.
