I tried my luck in the Skagit again. This time I got there early and went to a spot I knew should be good, waited till light and what did I see, a doe and and a fawn. Waited and watched them for over 20 mins but no buck. They eventually left and still no buck. I then decided to try some old clear cuts way up in the roads. I saw nothing at all not even any tracks. I went right up past the snow line and still no tracks. So needless to say another bad day in the Skagit, but at least I know they are there. I will try again on the last day of the season to see if anything has come down. Because it was raining there was no one in there. I did notice that they are building new logging roads in there so next year watch for logging trucks in there.
