If you could head out to one tomorrow what would it be?

I have access to a nice field but this morning I limited at the dykes without much effort. The dykes is/was mostly pass shooting and the fields generally decoy. I have not hunted the field in the morning at all but evening hunts have been successful. Can you guys give me a little advice on what to do tomorrow morning. I know I will do ok at the dykes with the super high tide but part of me wants to try the field.

Do any of you guys hunt fields in mornings? Just thinking that the ducks will be leaving the field at first light to spend the day out on the ocean.

I always hunt fields in the morning, I start from first light and will hunt all day. If there is water in the field the better!

If conditions ie. tide makes the dyke the best option for the morning and evenings successful in the field then the choice is easy unless you want to change it up to make it more challenging.

I much prefer shooting over decoys to pass shooting IMO a few birds sucked in over deeks beats a limit of passers by. Nothing against pass or jump shooting just not my 1st choice.

I'm a fields kind of guy, as Foxton said I also prefer to decoy birds. nothing beats having them almost land on you.

Dykes are fine as long as the tide is 10 feet or lower. Also if its sunny you want to avoid the dykes I find

I hunter the dykes along the Pitt Saturday.i love the jump shooting it is my favourite! You have to be fast and it will keep your shooting sharp!
