My father-in-law has his hunter number off of a tag from the early 80's before he moved to Ontario. Does not have his hunter number card.

Will he be able to get a hunter card number re-issued without too much hassle or will he have to take the CORE exam?

Thanks

I don't think so as long as he knows his number just call the wildlife branch in Victoria and talk to them.

If its a valid number he will have no problem, however if he still lives in Ontario he is not considered a BC resident and there are laws governing his hunting opportunites.

Go to a BC Access Centre (where you get drivers licenses and stuff). Bring ID and that's your easiest first thing to try. Worked for me about 10 yrs ago with no paperwork and not been hunting for quite a while they found my hunting # in their data base.

edit oops too slow.
