Hey Guys,

Thought I'd share this buck with you guys. He's far from my biggest, and far from the toughest hunt I've ever had, but it felt great to watch him tumble today and he'll make some great eating!

I moved to BC this January after a long 3-4 years of wanting to be here and enjoy the mountains and all that BC has to offer. I didnt hunt as much this year as I usually would have due to family life, new baby, busy with taxidermy, etc but the time I got out there I enjoyed and learned a ton for next year!

It was a season of learning, exploring, and spending time in the woods with my 3.5 year old daughter. I tried and tried to find an opportunity to get a buck with her but it never seemed to line up right. Had plenty of opportunity at smaller bucks and at cow elk, etc and saw a lot of cool country. This was a cool way to close off the season and cut my first tag in BC ever...hopefully will be a good sign of things to come!

Man I love shooting critters in November with a crazy lookin 'stasche too!!!

My kids were both over 4 before I was able to get out guilt free on a fairly regular basis.
Nice you were able to connect with a good buck to close off the season...good job.
Was the area in the back round the spot you knocked it down?
