Been up in the peace for the last couple days, trying to locate elk for the dec 1st 7-20 cow draw. So far not seeing much, and looking for some help. We traveled from the west coast, and have brought lots of fish for trade for land use. PM me if you have any suggestion, this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Yes you can find them in ground birch. drive to the end of the road main road there is some good openings back there. One island lake is known for elk too. You can also try Puggins mountain. Best bet is if you can find someone who will let you hunt there farm though. Have to go door banging.

Go into Lone Prarie just a bit toward Tumbler from Chetyn. Talk to the ranchers in that valley, If there is a herd around there they will tell you. The fish will treally help. Good luck.
