The Hunter - poll

So i was watching this pretty good movie on HBO last night called the Hunter with Willem Dafoe.

It raises an interesting dilemma and posed a worthwhile question about extinct or unknown species:

If you were alone in the very remote bush with no camera, and confronted a 'sasquatch' in a non threatening situation, and it wasnt against the regs. Would you shoot it?

Take into account all the possible repercussions: notoriety, fame, exploitation, ethics, science, profit.

I would not.

Oh I think I posted a reply to this a while back.
There is no scientific proof that they even exist,therefore they are mythylogical.What`s the penalty for shooting a unicorn?Or Ogopogo?Or a Leprechaun?

I can see how you might get shit for a Werewolf because they turn back into people when you kill them.
If I saw one I would crank it in a heartbeat,therefore making me the worlds foremost authority on ~Squatches and their agressive and preditory nature.Self defence.I wouldn`t even hire a Lawyer to win that court case.
I might have to hire a damn good accountant to deal with all the millions of dollars that I could make though.
And if the rest of the `Squatches attack me .....perfect,I would have a whole family group mounted and sold to the Smithsonion for WAY more money.
