On Nov 24 a mature bull moose was found dead from gunshot wounds on the Lillooet Forest Service road. The Pemberton Wildlife Association is offering $1000 reward for information leading to arrest and conviction of the offender or offenders. As you all know there is no open season for moose in this area. If you have any knowledge or helpful information please forward it the proper authorities.

I don't know the exact location but it was on the Lillooet River Forest Service Road which is North of Pemberton on your way into the upper Lillooet/Meager Creek area, no where near the town of Lillooet.

Is FN subsistence hunting for moose not allowed in this area?

Or left to rot...

That is something that can be debated. What happened with the sheep last year up in Lillooet? Left to rot, albeit one was in their back yard. Was anything done by authorities?

this is what i was suggesting in the other thread.
but i'm assuming they have some kind of proof that it wasn't done by indians.
