Why a plug if not hunting waterfowl, may be wrong as I only hunt waterfowl but I thought it was only when hunting waterfowl that the shotgun had to be plugged. As long as overall length is good should be good.

If you are talking a pistol gripped stock without a butt stock, I would have to ask why you would want to handicap yourself in such a way. Pistol grip it completely useless for aiming, as it is very unstable. And if you ever let go with a slug and a pistol grip, you'll understand my statement. Might be great having to clear a house in tight quarters, but for hunting I cannot recommend it.

you should be fine as long as you haven't chopped your barrel a ton.
and yeah, a pistol grip will be shite for accuracy.

i just thought instead of taking it on and off each time if i happen to go deer humting and take the shotgun i can still shoot a grouse with it. its only bird shot. i wont be shooting grouse with a slug haha

X2 Clark is right I have the plug out when I am sleeping in my tent with a flashlight on the barrel it has two pistol grips on the shotgun one at the rear the other at the front ,,if I use this shotgun for birds the plug goes back in the shotgun....
