Last night after whipping up some epic duck kielbasa in the smoker i had 303 over for some beers and to have a test run. And man is it good!

Anyway we made a plan to hunt a spot the following afternoon.

This morning we awoke to windy rainy conditions. Perfect, By the time we got to the feild it was sunny and 10 degrees and zero wind. Not so perfect. I met Kiel and his buddy for the first time(brand new to hunting waterfowl with us) at 2pm As we made our way into the field we jumped up somewhere in the neighbour hood of 750-1000 ducks. Perfect.

We got set up and it didnt take long. We had 8 on the ground and only 1 hen. So i said lets only shoot drakes. Well the next 10 or so birds were hens, they all got free passes. And in true LP fashion i had enough. I have a work party to be at at 5:30 lets start killing things. So we did. an hour later we were down to our last 2 birds. A hen and drake come in, drake flares to left hen to the right, 303 drops both (who does that!!?) lol. We start picking and low and behold one suzie has a ring. A quick hoot and holler and its paper scissor rock time. it was 1,2,3 then go. 303 played the ulimate fake out and went on 3 instead of after 3, making a redo!!(what a dick move! hahahaha) The mind games were at an all time high!! We went a second round and he took it fair and square! Congrats Kiel on your first duck band!!!

We have put ALOT of birds down since we started hunting together 3 years ago, and its our first band, so I am stoked. Now off to work party to celebrate!

Recipe please! Hubby loves to duck hunt but i put the halt on it as we don't like to eat them. We tried sausage once mixed with pork but it wasn't very good. The dog loved it!
So I would love to have your recipe so I can say.....lets go duck hunting again.

I was tunnelled on the drake when he came in he was very pretty, so I smacked him reloaded and didn't see the suzie I swung to my right there she was and I smacked her as well. I'll chaulk it up to reaction time, and I'm pretty sure someone sharked a very pretty drake teal on me earlier in the shoot. ;)

As for Adam, I'll drink 24 of those 48 beer wearing my wader  that I ripped a dimed size hole in today.

My friend Jay thought the way us BC guys pick and choose what we shoot at is funny and he also found it a riot that we don't shoot beyond 20yds

If hens are the answer, then odds are karmically tilted against a lady killer I know in the valley...:-D

Dano, Is that a recent reward band?

I am wondering if they are doing another round with the variable values on them? That appears to be a $50 band, while most that guys I know of encountered were $100.
