4-4 cougar attack ?

Anyone hear the story about the savage 45 lb kitten that supposedly attacked this guy ?
You'd think an attacking animal would be shot in the chest, head/face not broadside through the neck ?
It's on facebook so it is public content now... I'm curious.

Only know what you have posted but that hole looks like it could have been shot from the front if its the entry hole ! If its the exit hole,then something is fishy with the story ! Im sure the CO will investigate !

To me that picture picture sorta looks photoshop. Don't wanna say it looks fake if it really isn't but looking at the guys harm under the front legs of the cat and the left leg isn't really that forward. The way the leg is not limp enough and looks too stiff while bring held.And the shot in the neck looks super clean. Look up my cougar I got this year and take a look at the neck shot I took and sorta compare. The skin is thin on a cougars neck and should of been a little ​bit messy then that. But if this story is real and legal glad he made it out better then the cat did.

Yeah, I gotta agree. Where is the guy's right hand? His left hand and arm are also completely not there, and the light and focus on the face and neck differs greatly from the focus on the man's face, at the same focal range.

Besides, zoom in 20 times, if that's 'shopped the guy that did it had weeks of spare time on his hands to go around individual hairs. No way that was a photoshop job.

Actually look at the pic, and you can see a tent guyline from what is probably a wall tent in the back ground with lots of trampled grass, and a road.

Nothing saying that pic was taken seconds after the alleged attack.

I can tell you that the cat would look very large stalking you or taking a run at you! As mentioned and assumed from the little information we have this was not a selective kill. It was not a tree'd cat that could be passed on if not what he wanted.
If it chased me I'd kill it and take a picture. They may have Photoshopped out some blood at lost a bit of detail but, to me the photo looks legit.

Look at the length of the body also, and then the length of the right forearm, and then the length of the right rear leg. Look at the overall dimensions of the body parts. All wrong.
Nahhhh...something's rotten in Denmark. About the hairs, you can choose to make the background of an image "Transparent", making the hairs overlay the arm.
If you're good at Photoshop, you'd know this.
What the con man didn't have was a pic of the guys hand, cuz he wasn't holding that cat. That's why there's no hands in the pic.

the lighting is consistent through the frame, he's standing in the shadows of the trees..the man's head(and body) is behind the cat's head...slightly different length but still, focus and lighting looks legit to me...skin and fur reflect light differently and focus differently

lighting is very difficult to fake correctly in fraudlent photos....it looks like a morning shot (angle of lighting and fog rising)...possibly he shot the animal the night before, rigor set in and this pic is from the morning

Our mommy made us a special blanky so we cant touch "swords" at night cause that is bad.I dont need a nightlight anymore but we only have an outhouse and i dont like to go out there in the dark so I made a neat light out of a candle and a tin can.If my daddy ever goes back to work at the used tire store he said I can get my own flashlight,It is nice to have things to look forward too.If that is a picture of you with that cat I am very sorry its just you do have a goofy smile and you are kind of a moron for posting a picture of yourself on this internet with a tiny cougar.My daddy is going to be back in from milking the goat in a minute so I gotta go.

The story is that it attacked his dog on his property. It was killing his dog and he shot it. It ran up a tree at the gun shot and was bleeding heavily, so he shot it again....at least that is the version I got.

CO's would not pick up the cat that day, it was left out side and spoiled the skin. They picked it up the next day. Dave

Don't get me wrong BTS....I enjoy your passion for the outdoors and your threads about Blacktails, elk, goats and other ungulates but your track record on OPP(other people's pussies) speaks for itself. Key word is "potential".

Thats not Berger, Dave, It looks quite a bit like him tho.

A buddy of mine heard his wife, and daughter screaming frantically outside, he ran out to see a cougar stuck to his dog like velcro, he ran in grabbed his gun and shot the cat, the cat ran and treed, so he plugged it again. (the scary thing is that his young son and daughter were playing near the attack site, alone, 15mins before the cat attacked his dog)
He called the C.O office, and they came out after the hide was ruined.
