Doesn't she know that holding the antlers in front of her completely takes away from the deer's rack? She's gonna need to spend a bit more time on HBC learning the ins and outs of quality hunting photographs.

I was at Tunkwa on the long weekend and saw nothing but does and a fork. 1 deer was reported shot in the last week and nobody was seeing anything. everyone I talked to was saying it was the slowest years yet. Although I did talk to 2 guy's in a ford truck ( white or gray? ) that reported seeing a huge muley but got no shot off. Maybe it was the same guy's caught up to him?

Well that is a nice buck! Can't see it scoring as high as reported with the crab claws...but my scale might be out to lunch...How wide is it?

I'll guess 169 gross -- 155 net -- spread is no more than 24 inches or so.
Uneven non symetrical, real short tines. Low scoring wouldn't make any book.

I own the Rhino. Know the area very well. Bushy and I helped these boys pull this old buggar out at 10 pm. Got a knock on the door at 9 pm. Bushy thinks I can help, introduces me to two fine gents who have a tale about a big deer tracked, killed and left to be picked up later ... if they can find the spot!!!!!. The shooter (wearing the glasses) was in the thick shite and had the buck pass him by quickly in pursuit of a hot doe. He tracked the buck 2 km to finally get a shot - and a great shot at 200 yds (300 WM) - stalk done and buck down. It was late afternoon and he didn"t know where he was (no GPS/no fault on him). He gutted it, stuffed and covered it with snow ... and then ... took a bunch of pictures of the area (cut block, road signs, fences, etc) ... VERY SMART. He then went back out the 2 km following his tracks back out. When Bushy knocked on my door, I went through the pictures with these boys and in 10 seconds knew exactly where this deer was located! ..... not 100 yds from where I set up one of my trail cams! Ha! We all jumped into my Rhino and the 2 quads and within 45 minutes had the deer in hand. Talk about a couple of happy dudes! 8X7 buck of a lifetime (can you say junk, drop tine and mass!) - in the area that I covet! Good for Doug and his partner Drew (damn fine guys!) in the pursuit of this beast. An old buggar maybe on his last winter. Body was small and WAYYYY on the down side (maybe 140 lbs on the hook and ass end saggy) ... but the rack!!!!!! WOW! ... probably even bigger last year .... and no, never did get a pic of this one on my cam! Congrats Doug .... one hell of an old buggar for the wall (yes, he is having it mounted and I will post pics when done)
