We are heading up Nov 24 to fill a couple tags and just have not heard alot on how successful people have been in getting their bison's. So whats that status? How's the trail (Frozen c&*k stiff I would assume)? Sightings? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Muchly.

Guys are being successful, But you have to put your time in to get one. You have to get off your seat and do some scouting, walking and tracking. They usually depart on the sound of the machines. Since you are in FSJ, I suggest that you get up there and spend some time scouting and getting familiar with the trails and conditions. Not sure how long you have lived there but it can be -25 one day and +5 the next or even in the same day. Snow levels the same, 2' snow one day and dirt 2-3 days later with wind and warm weather. Be prepared for anything. Good luck.

One Shot pretty much summed it up. The halfway trail is frozen and easy now. The big Bison were up high on the ridges above the tree line with the Elk when i was there

I was there early oct. Saw a few herds biggest being 25+. They were down low at that time. I shot a nice eater two days in.
