Hi all,

I was wondering, can you hunt on crown land in BC? And, if you can, could anybody recommend some nice rabbit hunting area on crown land?

Thanks

Does anybody know of any maps that show where crown land is?

If it's not fenced or posted, (And not in a no-shooting zone, read your regs) then it's usually fair game.

Crown is owned by the government. It is not private land. It is owned by Canada.
Usually outside of and around city limits.
Head out towards Chilliwack and up by Ryder Lake into the hills.

Never saw a rabbit up there jelly...ever. Not that they aren't there but I've just never seen one up there.

Lots of private property up Ryder Lake. Good luck seeing rabbits in the forests up there, incredibly thick bush!

If you want to hunt in the lower mainland, you need to be familiar with the fraser valley special hunting license. There are lots of areas that are closed to hunting
