Nov 2012 Mulie hunt a pretty good one

Not a lot to say on this one, hunted hard for 4 days, saw a couple big bucks on the first day but out of range so we watched them to try to see where they would go. They were bedded down at 11:00 and my buddy watched 1 until it got dark, lol it didn't move all day. Also saw quite a few does and fork bucks chasing stuff around but I guess as there isn't really any snow way up high the big guys are staying up there. Anyhow on day 5 at first light I still hunted into a spot I shot a buck (a real heavy 4x5)from a couple years ago, and settled in for the long haul as the wind was swirling a bit but over all good. I watched 5-7 does feed back and forth all morning figuring the bucks would come in from my left, around 11:00 I caught movement off to my right and out walked a big doe at 150 yds and right behind her was this guy. I didn't need my binos to tell me he was at least a 4x4 that looked pretty heavy and had a perfect broadside, boom..... he just looked at me for a couple seconds and took off, I was cursing, couldn't believe I missed him at that range with a good rest as he didn't even seem to flinch. tried a couple fast shots on the run, one hit a tree, the other just outright missed as he disappeared over a knoll. I watched the doe bounce away up the other side but not the buck, maybe I did hit him. Loaded up my stuff and went looking and sure enough first shot was a good shot and he was down after about a 70 yard run.
coulda used your block and tackle set up on this one Barry, might a broke it though lol, he was a heavy one.

There hasn't been any talk yet but with the holiday season soon approaching I'm guessing we'll have to figure it out soon.
