Just wondering what you use or have seen for hunting with hounds as far as a box. are striker holes recommended or do you just have a strike dog tied on top. suggestions or pictures please.

Mine is holding up nicely. I had a steel rigging built, and mounted it on top, for my strike dog..
When I had my dogs I used strike holes. It gave some protection to the dogs in 'Sty' weather and from over head branches and a bit more control when they did strike. Also it was easier to just open the door then having to jump up into box and unhitch a dog going nuts on a strike.

I use both I have 8" port holes with thead caps and a rail on top so that in the warm weather there I lots of air movement I hunt bears so my box holds 6 hounds 3 per side two holes per side and when I rig I put two up and then evey one can get there heads out for a sniff my box is aluminum so not cheap but good for life can email pics if interested
