Island advice sorely needed from hunting community, please.

We are wanting to go to the island but don't know what would be a better choice A. Strathcona/Campbell river - I have camped on Lower Campbell Lake road and love the area what are the deer numbers like in that region/area and is there a lot of hunting pressure? or B. make the trip to Texada where I know there is deer but is there just too much hunting pressure there on such a small island? I am leaning towards A friend(s) are leaning towards B. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's been 5 years since I hunted Campbell River area but we were always able to dredge up deer in the Upper Campbell/Buttle lake areas. This is the time of year to do it if you are going to do it. I've never hunted on Texada or any of the Gulf islands.
