I was looking at the specs on the Leupold VX6 4-24. It has a 34mm tube - would finding 34mm rings not be a pretty big challenge? I haven't seen a 34mm tube scope before.

Im sure if Leupold makes a 34mm scope tube, they will make rings as well...

For sure Leupold would be making rings to match but there probably won't be allot of other options out there and for rifles like Sako and Ruger good luck. Going 34mm on the tube looks like a good way to limit sales for that scope. What would be the rationale for a larger tube - a 30mm tube must offer enough adjustment range for the crosshairs - so why go 34?? I saw the specs on the Bear Basin Outfitters www site.

Did some reading and found out long range target scopes sometimes have 34mm tubes - to increase cross hair adjustment range of course. I guess there is a market for a 34mm tube scope - a tiny market.
