nanaimo estuary

never really done any waterfowl hunting but came int possession of some of my grandfathers guns I was just curious if anyone has much success with ducks and geese down in nanaimo river estuary?

you bet. gotta be nasty weather & low tide, incoming. don't get trapped when the tide comes in.
take lots of deeks & a robo duck if you have one..

Wondering if your Grandfathers shotgun\guns had the choke bored out or modified for steel. Just assuming that it would be an older gun with a full choke. Hate to see a damaged barrel or injury.

they are good to go had them checked out serviced and I know he used them specifically for water-fowling only

Sorry of this is a hi-jack, but is their a way to tell if its been bored out for steel or do I need to take it to a gun smith. The last time I patterned my shotgun with steel shot I had spots in my pattern where there were no pellets
