Anyone have any info on Tunkwa this year? Has their been lots of deer spotted? White tail or Mulies. Heading up on Nov. 20 for four days. Hope to be in the thick of the rut. Saw some animals last year but it was a couple of weeks earlier. Any idea on typical temps. around the 20th?
Can't wait to get there!!

Numerous threads recently about Tunkwa. Do a search and you will find them. Temps have warmed up considerably and there is no snow there now.

Here is a link to their webcam. http://www.tunkwalakeresort.com/webcam.php

tunkwas is the place to go even if it gets a bit busy. beating the deer off the roads by that time. enjoy it as it is the best hunting going around here.

Hey Steve Im going up Nov 20 with 3 friends and were from Vancouver Island... I have been up there 3 times in the last 2 years, lots of deer.. get out and walk, they are just off the beaten path... should be a great hunt and we will be able to access the high ground if the snow holds off and is not to deep. Good luck and hope you get one.

Well if you get our ass outta the Pic and the Bull you might see something. Just kidding, was a lot more livelier a few weeks ago. Cheers.

Should be prime. Been warm lately and need a good cold spell to get them moving. Chances are good it'll happen by then and the bucks will be active. Get off the roads.

Spent the last 2 weeks of October up there, counted 59 deer, took my buck, lots of sign but the deer (especially white tails) are REALLY spooky. Lots of hunters, nice area though. Disappointed not to have seen any bear sign.
Next year will probably go earlier in October.

Don't often see much bear after mid-October. Lots of bear in the area though, fair number chocolate and cinnamon. Time to see them is in spring.

I don't agree, compared to Surrey, I think it's pretty quiet.
More traffic here though.
