Well i took off a week of work to commit to looking for a good mule deer. I got off work early on Friday, rigged up the camper and the trailer and bailed out. We got our camp set up and went for a quick scout to check out the area. We got up into the back end of a drainage at about 5700 ft and had the quads plowing through around 10" of snow. We came to a washed out culvert that had around 100 yds of road beyond it, went for a short walk and seen this guy heading up out of the block. Had a good broad side shoot at about 150 yds and put him down quickly.

He was in excellent shape, lots of fat all over and a big old neck. He dressed out at 192 lbs.
Two days later we woke up to over 6" of snow in the valley bottom, which would put around 2' up high.....and it was still coming down hard. We decided we better pull out as it looked like the deer were pulling out as well. We've continued hunting for my partner, but the weather hasn't cooperated making it hard as it has been wet and foggy all week. Oh well, time to get ready for the whiteys.
