Nice pic. Not often do you get a chance to take a pic of an animal with their guard down. Really down. Nice colours and nice resolution.

If I had a half dozen girlfriends, I too, would look like that during daylight hours.

Very unique, cool pic, Eastkoot! We can alway count on some interesting up-close pics from you.

Its funny, You spend so much time trying to kill them. The spend so much time trying to get away. Its hard to imagin them so "Flaked out" sleeping!
I know thats a city deer but.... he's flaked right out on the lawn man!

He must be a newly annointed 4-point. Running around all night.
Reminds me of that joke where the young bull said to the old bull, as they gazed over the cows, "Let's run down there and &%$# one of those cows." To which the old bull replied, "Naw, let us walk down there and &%$# them all!"
This buck is just doing too much running.

Start your own version of the "Messing with Sasquatch " videos :) Sneak over and put shaving cream on his nose.... But make sure your video camera is on a tripod and recording the event first...

Great picture...

Great pic! Only other animals I've seen in a sleeping state with their heads on the ground are a stone ram, a cougar and a few bears. Not too often the antlered/horned type do that I don't think!

That reminds me when I was a teenager chasing the girls out in the clubs all night long. I felt like that quite a few times and I am pretty sure I woke up in some strange areas wondering how I got there. LOL!!!

What an awesome picture.

I've seen bucks do that a lot over the years. I guess all the bucks I've seen sleeping in the winter and summer have been chasing does all night too???? Deer sleep just like any other critter. Just because he's laying down like a dog don't mean he's been chasing does.

this guy is the politician of the deer family, he is fat, lazy and smiling, don't trust him, i don't think he works too hard or was out all night, simply has the good life. ha

As i said previously I thought this was a great pic. I showed my wife and she said, "that's how all mature men look after sex.". To which I replied, "it's not the sex, it's being up all night giving you what you need so I can go hunting in the morning." It's the early mornings that make a man tired.
