No ducks.....they did a cull of 200,000 in the area as a management plan after the smashing success of the culling of 200,000 deer in Nanaimo; as reported in Outdoor Canada.:-P:tongue::roll:

Reference to deer cull can be found here, post #40 with discussion to follow.

No but a friend of mine has a smaller 15 foot tinny, no motor. but i got oars....

would my odds be better sitting on water calling ? rather then walking around ?

Your odds would be better on the water for the most part, but not having a motor is going to make for a fair amount of work when retreiving birds unless you got a dog?

most of the salt in along Union bay stays pretty calm unless the winds are outta the north.

You could set up on shore a little farther to the south in a few spots, you'll have to pay attention to the tides.
Any other questions you can pm me if you want more details
