so i get an e-mail from my good friend hotload, some of you may remember him from some of the threads about "billie the wonder dog". anyways he has also got a DD that he has been training for awhile now.
turns out he got a call last night to come and find a buck that had been shot yesterday around 10:00 am and after an extencive search with another guy and a dog they still couldnt find it and even bumped it a few times.
well 24 hrs later "hotload" and "carlo" arrive to track and find this buck. through rain, wind,up and down ,through the thick stuff the dog never said die.
low and behold after 3.5 km's they came across the deer only to find it looking like this.

not a good piece of meat anywhere to be found.
this is a region 8 buck not very far outside of kelowna on private property.
as most know who live on the outskirts of town, they're are alot of yotes around, be sure of your shot before you squeeze it off ,or this could be the end result.

hotload and carlo after 4 hrs of tracking a trail that was over 24 hours old and polluted with human,dog,coyotes and god know what else scents throughout the entire ordeal.
huge kudos goes out for a great job on both the training and persistance to the both of them
