Gotta drive from ferry (Horseshoe Bay or Tsawwassen) to Topley BC then a 10 days, later same starting point (ferry terminal) to Hinton,Alberta a few weeks later. Have an appointment to go harvest some large animals. Need real world driving times this time of year. I drive straight through, lots of coffee, eat on the run. Google map says about 14hrs to Topley and 10hrs to Hinton. These are two separate trips, same start. Really appreciate some info on real world driving times. thanks alot for any and all help. One old guy going hunting.

C'mon guys, give a guy a break, never driven to either of these places, much less in November. Any feedback on driving time would be truly appreciated. Thanks.

Google maps will give you a good idea, As for road conditions its hard to tell,

From mainland ferry terminal it would be 12-13hrs to Topley with summer like road conditions. To Hinton, I don't know that route.

From burns lake to maple ridge it takes me a good 12hr, having a leg stretch along the way, toply's another 1/2 hr from here, not sure what it is from the ferry to the ridge tho, 14 hrs on these roads would be a good guess, give or take a hour.
Whatchya hunting in Toply??

That's a long drive. Google maps is a good starting point if it's not snowing. www.drivebc.ca has cameras and alerts. From Quesnel you're looking at this:

get your car ready for winter driving, good snow tires are a must, food, water, sleeping bag, shovel that sort of thing also extra windshield washer fluied this is a must as the roads will be dirty with sand and salt. leave your self loads of extra time as it's slow going when the roads are crap hope that helps, also be prepared to replace your wind shield when you get back ho[e that helps

The times Google lists are fairly accurate in my experience, assuming good road conditions. Keep in mind these are driving times, and do not include stopping for fuel, lunch, leg stretch etc.
